Rasha is a humanitarian professional with experience in refugee settlement, peacebuilding program management and training for non-violent communication and mediation in Syria.
She completed a degree in economics but decided to engage in humanitarian relief after the Syrian civil war broke out. She engaged with a large NGO attending over 50,000 internally-displaced families affected by war and has been involved with minorities and community engagement since. She started her journey within a couple of months of her arrival in Canada in 2016 and became a TPN trainer in 2019. In December 2018 Rasha received CICR’s Service Award for her commitment and for producing the first draft of the TPN-1 manual in Arabic. Today, Rasha continues to pursue her mission to bring the values and skills of CICR’s TPN training to the people in Syria.
