Miranda Merry has been the Office Manager at CICR since January 2017. She holds a 160-hour Third-Party Neutral certificate from CICR, she has completed Circle Foundations (Level I), the Deep-Rooted Conflict Seminar and Community Mediation Ottawa's 21-Hour Training. Currently, she manages the daily operations such as bookkeeping, event logistics, marketing, etc. She also promotes CICR at community events.
Miranda has 8 years experience in the non-profit sector working in various programs in the Niagara and Ottawa regions and 2 years experience managing an international finance company. In 2010, she was chosen as a spokesperson for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and in 2015, she co-founded an anti-tobacco campaign that was instrumental in closing loopholes in government legislation regarding tobacco products. Miranda has always had a passion for youth engagement and has delivered training to hundreds of young people in health promotion, media advocacy, public policy and more recently, in conflict resolution. She firmly believes that youth are the leaders of today, not tomorrow.
