A Year of Growth, Achievement, and Strategic Expansion

The evening began with the approval of the financial statements, which revealed a positive financial outlook for CICR.

Chair of the Board, Kendel Rust, shared a heartfelt message highlighting the increased demand for our services, both locally and internationally. With ongoing global unrest, CICR’s mission is more critical than ever. In response, we are expanding our offerings. Our online courses are well-established, and we are introducing more custom and multi-day courses to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

CICR's footprint is also expanding geographically. We've introduced our training to organizations like the Ottawa and Toronto police forces, the Canadian Police College, Government in New Brunswick, and even international markets. We are also innovating a certification model for organizations that adhere to conflict resolution practices, ensuring that CICR remains a leader in the field.

Kendel took a moment to thank the TPN trainers, who continue to inspire and nurture learning communities:

  • Esther van Gennip, Lorna Lemay, Pat Brady, Carole Soucis, Nicole Charron, Henri Tremblay,

  • the CICR trainers facilitating programs and workshops with the institute: Iman Ibrahim, Manon Hardy, Rasha Kaba, Souleiman Kassouha, Vern Redekop, Andréa Morrison; the practitioners observed and co-facilitated the TPN workshops: Marie-Noelle Pelletier, Marie-Michelle Dugas, Kawtar El Alaoui, Stéphanie Belliard, Tejumo Ogouma, Monique Newton,

  • and the online moderators who assisted the online delivery: Myriam Charabaty, Christelle Saliba, Danny Lemay.

Additionally, Kendel shared words of appreciation for our volunteer program, Community Conflict Resolution Ottawa, which continues to serve local residents with much-needed support.

CICR AGM Elections & Voting

The AGM concluded with the election and reelection of board members, including Fanny Zabloz, a new board member and TPN graduate, and the reelection of Kendel Rust and Daunett Tucker, both of whom will continue to serve the organization with their invaluable expertise.

In 2024, CICR recorded 105 members and 18 associates, a testament to the growing recognition and trust in our work.
