Carole Soucis

Trainer & Practitioner

Carole has more than 35 years of experience in community, identity, intercultural and organizational conflict management and resolution related matters. She has worked in the private and public sectors, in Canada and abroad, as lawyer, adjudicator, negotiator, mediator, facilitator, trainer and communicator. She has held various positions in the Canadian federal public services, where she was responsible for the management and resolution of community, humanitarian, immigration, indigenous, intercultural and organizational conflicts related matters.  


She is a certified mediator by the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ) and certified in leadership by the Institut de leadership du Québec. She has also served as a certified mediator   by the Barreau du Québec in civil, commercial and labor matters from 2003 to 2019. 

Carole has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR). She is an honored member of CICR and teaches the entire CICR Third Party Neutral and identity-based conflicts program in Canada and Latin America. 


In 2019, after 30 years of services, Carole retired from the federal public services to dedicate herself to her Studio 17 Mediation Inc., which offers services in mediation, facilitation and training in conflict prevention, management and resolution of community, identity, intercultural and organizational conflicts. 


Carole is fluent and offers her services in French, English and Spanish. She is currently learning Greek.
